    Notes This site is very difficult to access. We were fortunate that the gate to a stalled development on the northern shore was open on this visit. Drainage ditches installed during the development of a light industrial park and mega church in the grassland around the pan appear to have greatly reduced the effective catchment and the pan seldom appears to hold much water these days. Distant views may however be misleading. The closer than usual inspection that was possible during this visit showed that the grassy basin was actually a mosaic of shallow open water, mud and flooded grassland.
