    Notes There was no water flow under the railway bridge and the surface was like a mirror. The rivers at the confluence are clear of waterweed currently although the Westlake River near the Main Road is covered in invasives. While counting at the railway bridge a railway official came down the tracks to see what we were doing, informing us that the cables had been stolen last night while there was a train crashed into a bakkie at the Albertyn Road level crossing at False Bay station. We did note a train stopping for a while between mid stations. A highlight was seeing a pair of Spurwing Geese flying over and a long last seen African Purple Swamphen.
