    Notes All the pans had very little standing water which was just as a result of the recent rains. Pans S6 and S7 had the most water with the others having just a couple of inches amongst the wees. The birds such as Red-knobbed Coots, Cape Shovelers, Cape Teal and African Sacred Ibis could be found dotted about these pans amongst the vegetation so were fairly well concealed.
